Kiran Simon


Undergaduate trainee


Kiran is from Wallkill, New York, and is currently a third-year undergraduate studying biochemistry at the University of Chicago. In High School, he worked with Dr. Daithi Heffernan at Brown University, where he investigated how HIV/AIDs affects the management of acute appendicitis in the clinical setting. In the Damo Lab, he is studying the role of checkpoint receptors in peripheral T cell tolerance. Outside of the lab, he enjoys playing the trumpet and running along the Point.
