Martina Damo

Principal Investigator

Martina received her PhD in Bioengineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), where she developed in vivo approaches for the induction of immunological tolerance to treat autoimmunity. She then completed her postdoctoral training in Immunobiology at Yale University, where she learned how to engineer mouse models to study fundamental mechanisms of immunological tolerance in peripheral tissues. As a Principal Investigator, Martina aims to bridge her expertise in bioengineering and immunology to harness the physiology of immunological tolerance for therapeutic purposes.
