Dr. Martina Damo’s Lab is part of the Section of Rheumatology within the Department of Medicine at the University of Chicago. Dr. Damo is a Faculty member of the Committees on Immunology, Cancer Biology and Molecular Metabolism and Nutrition and a member of the UChicago Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The Damo Lab investigates how immune cells, specifically T cells, are regulated in healthy tissues to maintain immunological tolerance and in cancer to promote anti-cancer immunity, and the consequences of cancer immunotherapy on T cells in cancer and healthy tissues.
The Damo Lab is composed by a group of young scientists passionate about understanding the physiology of immune regulation to improve the efficacy and safety of immunotherapy.
